Responsibilities:
Compounds and dispenses drugs according to prescriptions issued by authorized care providers.
Interviews patients regarding past medication history and allergies
Provide patients with instructions and counseling regarding medication
Provide information and consultation to medical staff
Supervises work of pharmacy assistants
Provides leadership throughout the organization
Demonstrates fiscal responsibility
Performs clinical functions that support the pharmacy clinical programs and meet regulatory agency requirements
Assist in developing, implementing and performing the departments CQI process
Assumes responsibility for department in absence of the Lead Clinical Pharmacist
Assist Lead Clinical Pharmacist in interviews, training and orientation of staff
Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide age appropriate care and specific needs of the patients
Assist in emergency situation including labor pool and codes

Requirements for this job:
Current Pharmacy state license within the state of practice
Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy
Current Certified Washington State Pharmacy Preceptor or certification eligible
Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the ages of patients service in Pharmacy
Two years recent hospital pharmacy experience
Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking abilities
Ability to work with a culturally diverse population
Keyboarding skills
